Emerald City Theatre's Little Theatre!

Congratulations to Chicago’s Emerald City Theatre on the opening of their new Little Theatre! Located at 2933 N. Southport Ave in Lincoln Park, it’s the nation’s first theater dedicated to very young audiences. It’s never too early to introduce your kids to the Arts! And their lobby, designed by The Land of Nod, is a great gathering spot and will inspire your young artists.

Daycare Diaries: Bonkers for Birthdays

One of our little girls is determined to make sure everyone gives their birthday the attention it deserves.  On her teacher’s birthday, she insisted that Miss Emma wear a crown every minute of the day.  When one of her friends had a birthday, she serenaded her with the birthday song over and over, every chance she got.  It’s so sweet to have a friend that makes an even bigger celebration of your birthday than you do!

Daycare Diaries: Bathroom Buddies

True friends are there to support you in everything you do!  Two of our daycare girls have found such a friend in each other as they both make their way through the process of potty training.  Every day at potty time they go to the bathroom and sit side by side on the training potties.  Whenever one of them is successful, the other tells her good job and offers a high five.  Not only is it hilarious, but also evidence of a fantastic friendship!

Daycare Diaries: My New Baby Brother

One of our 3yo girls just got a new baby brother and she couldn’t have been more excited.  During art class she asked to make a birthday card for him.  She drew him a picture, dictated a note to him, and put it in an envelope to take with her when she would finally get to meet him in a couple of days.  She told Miss Emma she was going to hold him very gentle.  She’s clearly going to be an amazing big sister and we’re all very happy for her and her family!
