Don't Miss 5 Pointz

The aerosol art mecca in Long Island City, 5Pointz, will be closing by the end of the year to make way for new development in the area. Started as the Phun Phactory in 1993 to discourage graffiti vandalism, the complex has grown into a world renown collection of aerosol art curated by a graffiti artist under the name of ‘Meres’.

Recently, Sharon Breesley at the blog NYC Taught Me took her children on a visit to 5Pointz and posted some great pictures.
