Beethoven, Live and In Person!

Believe it or not, Ludwig von Beethoven “himself” will be appearing  in concert this Sunday, March 16th, to help a young pianist play his music as he meant for it to be played! Courtesy of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, this concert is geared specifically toward helping little ones fall in love with music.  Be sure to arrive by 1:00pm to enjoy the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo in the Alice Tully Hall lobby! Kids will have a chance to interact with instruments of all kinds, and a lifelong love of making music could start with a single note!

Madison Square Kids!

Looking for a fun art activity to do with your kids this summer? Madison Square Kids! in Madison Square Park has free kids music concerts every Tuesday and Thursday from June 12 to August 9.

Madison Square Park Conservancy is thrilled to present its1 season of Mad. Sq. Kids, a series of free outdoor performances for children and their families that takes place rain or shine in the Park on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30am, June 11 to August 8.
“Engagement through arts and culture is a vital educational outlet for the children of our community,” said Ashley Vitha, Program Manager at the Madison Square Park Conservancy. The Conservancy has invited to the Mad. Sq. Kids stage a roster of authentic “Family Bands” with musical virtuosity, witty lyrics, and energetic tunes, which parents will want to sing along to as much as their children.

Family Friendly Travel: 14 Child-Centric Hotel Rooms

Red Tricycle compiled this list of 14 fun, family friendly hotels that have guest rooms and suites specifically designed with the little ones in mind.  This one in Orlando has kid rooms filled with Dr. Seuss-inspired furniture and decor.  And for parents who might feel overwhelmed by all the wacky colors, the adults’ room – seen just through the door – is much more traditional.  To see the complete hotel list, click here:
