Question: What is ARTISITTING?
Answer: An ARTISITTING childcare experience is a new type of childcare that
combines artistic tutoring with child care. All of the ARTISITTERS are
college educated artists who will provide the highest possible childcare
to your children while teaching and engaging them in various forms of
art.
Question: Can I use this service for my baby?
Answer: Absolutely! It is never too early to reap the benefits of art. Our
"infant specialist" ARTISITTERS have a minimum of 5 years childcare
experience with babies and are ready to change diapers while singing.
Question: Why should I use an ARTISITTER instead of a babysitter?
Answer: It is a proven fact that art changes the development of a child. Click

Question: Can I request an ARTISITTER with a specific art form?
Answer: Yes. Please try give us a week's notice so that we can make sure your
budding actress is paired with our up-and-coming actress.
Question: Do I get to meet my ARTISITTER before booking?
Answer: Unfortunately we are not able to send the ARTISITTERS out on interviews.
To make the transition as smooth as possible, we will provide you we a
detailed bio about your sitter. This will allow you to get to know
them before they arrive.
Question: How do I book an appointment?
Answer: To secure a New York City artisitter, please call us at 646.246.6024 or email us at booknyc@sittersstudio.com.

Question: Can I book with a particular babysitter?
Answer: At Sitters Studio our aim is to provide your children with a fun,
creative and enthusiastic artisitter. If there is a ARTISITTER you have
had in the past that your children really liked, consider joining the
VIP program so that you can regularly request them.
Question: Can I arrange future bookings directly through my ARTISITTER, or do I need to call the agency every time?
Answer: Please arrange all artisitting through the agency to avoid any scheduling conflicts.
Question: How do I pay for the service?
Answer: Hourly booking rate and cancellation fees are charged to the credit card
provided at the time of booking. Cab fare and optional tip should be
paid directly to the ARTISITTER in cash.
Question: Can I get a report from the agency so I can use my child and dependent care credits?
Answer: Absolutely! One of the great benefits of the agency is we provide full
documentation of your child care use. Please email us or call for this
information and our tax i.d.
Question: How far in advance do I need to book an appointment?
Answer: Depending upon ARTISITTER availability, we will do our best to
accommodate your booking requests up to 2 hours before the booking.
Question: If I book an appointment for the 4-hour minimum am I expected to be back at that exact time?
Answer: The 4-hour minimum is only a minimum, however, please inform the
ARTISITTER if the evening is running later than the scheduled booking.
If you are running more than 1 hour past the scheduled endtime,
additional fees may apply.
Question: Will the ARTISITTER also be responsible for light household cleaning?
Answer: All of our ARTISITTERS are highly trained professionals whose focus is
on engaging the children in art. The ARTISITTER is responsible for
leaving the house in its original condition but are not expected to do
other chores.
Question: Do you do background checks on all your sitters?
Answer: Sitters Studio prides itself on not only providing your family with
creative and fun ARTISITTERS but also keeping your family safe and
secure. All of the ARTISITTERS are required to provide references and
to ensure optimum safety, background checks are mandatory.
Question: What is a ‘tote of toys’?
Answer: A ‘tote of toys’ is a little tote bag filled with fun and interesting
activities that the sitter will bring with them to engage your children
in play.
Question: What is an ‘Artscapade’?
Answer: An ‘Artscapade’ is a sitting in which the ARTISITTER takes your child or children to a specific artistic activity in the city.
Question: What kind of Artscapades are there?
Answer: The possiblities for an Artscapade are limitless, but our most popular
are: having a visual ARTISITTERS take the kids to a museum or having an
actor ARTISITTER take the kids to a play.
