Daycare Diaries: Frankie Picasso
The other day, the kids found a worm outside and named it Frankie Picasso. No idea why, and definitely no adult prompting. They took care of him by not touching him. It was really cute.

One of our little girls is determined to make sure everyone gives their birthday the attention it deserves. On her teacher’s birthday, she insisted that Miss Emma wear a crown every minute of the day. When one of her friends had a birthday, she serenaded her with the birthday song over and over, every chance she got. It’s so sweet to have a friend that makes an even bigger celebration of your birthday than you do!

True friends are there to support you in everything you do! Two of our daycare girls have found such a friend in each other as they both make their way through the process of potty training. Every day at potty time they go to the bathroom and sit side by side on the training potties. Whenever one of them is successful, the other tells her good job and offers a high five. Not only is it hilarious, but also evidence of a fantastic friendship!
This exchange actually happened in March and we’ve been saving it for you as a special mother’s day treat!

One of our 3yo girls just got a new baby brother and she couldn’t have been more excited. During art class she asked to make a birthday card for him. She drew him a picture, dictated a note to him, and put it in an envelope to take with her when she would finally get to meet him in a couple of days. She told Miss Emma she was going to hold him very gentle. She’s clearly going to be an amazing big sister and we’re all very happy for her and her family!
Some of our artisitter® caregivers also serve as subs at our daycare. One sub that has been a huge hit is Mr. Paul. Maybe it was his bright green shirt, or maybe it was his playful nature, but one 3yo boy is now convinced that his real name is Peter Pan!
Hurray! Sitters Studio is 7 years old today. Thanks to all of you for choosing us for your childcare needs. And thanks to all of our wonderful artisitter® caregivers, past and present. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you!
At breakfast all the kidlets were discussing a 3yo boy’s new Spider-Man doll. Each child had their own name for Spider-man. We just love their pronunciations! They called him:
Tada-naan
Pider-Mayon
Bunny-mayo
Piner-man
A meen!!
Cheddar-knot
Spida-Mayan
